Arts hands tell the story not only of the 30 boulder problems he climbed in Squamish over 5 hours last weekend for his 30th birthday but also of the years of dedication it took get to that point. Torn ligaments, swollen joints, skin that is constantly falling off…I still remember when we both started learning how to climb together 12 years ago up on Sehome Hill and it went on to change the direction of our lives.  Photo: Garrett Grove

This past Monday myself and 5 friends had a quality outing on the ever so classic North Ridge of Stuart.

Over the last 27 hours Dave Hancock and myself enjoyed a blissful and tiring ascent and ski down Mount Stuart.  Bit of a backyard adventure with the trailhead being 15 minutes from my front porch.  Always good to head back into the mountains that changed the direction of my life 10 years ago.   Photos: Garrett Grove

The Illume submission is in and this shot of Troutman and Scott Bennett drilling some bolts for a new route in Indian Creek made the cut. Photographers are the worst editors of their own work.  Photo: Garrett Grove

Starting to dig through the photos from Utah, here Nelson Day takes in what options he has midway up this Indian Creek offwidth.  www.garrettgrove.com

Going through a bunch of imagery from the last year+.  Lots of long forgotten stuff in there.  Here Scott Bennett plugs a piece just before pulling this roof in Glacier Gorge, CO.

Currently in Indian Creek!  Love this place, it never gets old but is always humbling and exhausting…here Polly Dacus climbs up the dauntingly long and tiring Slot Machine.

The trail into the Southern Pickets is one of the most beautifully daunting approaches found in the Cascades.  Here BJ Cassell and Wes McCain work there way up before being completely shutdown due to lightning & fog for days straight never giving us a chance to see the illustrious Pickets.
