In 1937 about 1400 acres of old growth forest were set aside at MP 42 on the Mount Baker Highway.  The site contains enormous Douglas Fir, Hemlock, and Western Red Cedar’s.  Somehow over the last decade of driving past that location on my way up to go skiing I never even knew it was there.   Photos: Garrett Grove
